Why do we need Cultural Training?
A lack of cross-cultural understanding and knowledge of local practices can be a major obstacle to the effectiveness of an employee moving to another country. The ability to relate quickly and effectively with colleagues and clients and the ease with which individual family members settle happily in a new country, makes a very important contribution to long-term success.
Well-designed intercultural training has been shown to have a positive effect on self-maintenance, and cognitive and interpersonal skills, offering valuable tools to expedite success in an intercultural setting. It significantly reduces the risk of frustration and culture shock by managing expectations ahead of the move, and providing valuable tools and strategies for the assignee (and their family) to successfully adapt to the host country’s culture.
Our Programmes include cultural insights, country specific information and practical advice, guidance on cultural awareness and adaptation - all delivered in an informative and interactive style by country experts who have extensive professional and personal experience of the target country. Content is appropriate for both working and accompanying assignees. By the end of our programme, attendees will be prepared for a speedy and successful adaptation to their new country, allowing them to become more effective, more quickly in their new role.
