Do you know how to build a strong pitch which uses easy to grasp language and explanations?
Are you as effective as you could be at shaping the conversation to suit the purpose, the occasion and the cohort?
Do you really understand how to listen for clues and ask productive questions?
A lack of cross-cultural understanding and knowledge of local practices can be a major obstacle when developing business overseas.
The workshop will be interactive, challenging, practical and fun. The delegates will have the opportunity to practice a short pitch. They will be given practical advice to help them improve their individual performance. They will have the opportunity to share experiences through discussion, and take part in exercises that highlight the key skills needed to network successfully at a trade fair.
By the end of the session the delegates will have learned and practiced new skills that they can apply immediately when next interacting with potential and existing global suppliers, clients and partners.
Selling and Pitching Skills: Understanding the communication preferences of your business contact, developing a simple, clear message and adjusting your message to suit your international counterpart
Getting the most out of Trade Shows and Networking Events: ‘Personal Branding’, mixing the personal with the professional by using communication techniques to establish rapport and develop trust, and recognising how to influence and motivate when time is limited
AT THE END OF THIS TRAINING, PARTICIPANTS WILL BE ABLE TO:
Get and keep their target’s attention regardless of their cultural background
Know how to shape an argument so that the listener can follow and accept it
Build rapport and develop more effective relationships with suppliers, clients and partners anywhere in the world
